I don’t have dependents at home now but I am fighting for higher wages as regardless of who you are we should not be receiving pay rates which are degrading to the industry where we are caring for children while other trades are earning three times what we earn. I come with years of experience but this is not being rewarded. We are not recognised or respected and this is shown in the low pay rate.
