I can attest to the fact that low wages have a significant impact on myself and my family.

With the rising cost of living, it has become increasingly difficult to make ends meet on my current salary. My family and I have had to make sacrifices in order to cover basic necessities such as rent, bills, and groceries. This has caused a great deal of stress and anxiety for all of us.

As a parent, my current pay rate has a direct impact on my children. It limits our ability to provide them with the things they need and want, such as extra-curricular activities, quality education, and health care.

Unfortunately, I know as my co workers share stories with me and one of them was that there are some families, they have had to rely on assistance from charity organizations in order to make ends meet. This is not a sustainable solution and it is not fair that disability support workers have to resort to this in order to survive.
